Thanksgiving

This year Thanksgiving was really different. We get to go home for Christmas and see both of our families this year, so for Thanksgiving we stayed home this year. Luckily, AJ's cousin lives close and didn't go see their family either, so we were able to go spend a couple days with them.

Our small little family:(
Our yummy dinner
Our 5 pies for the 4 of us:) I made my first homemade pumpkin pies this year!
So, that night Raelynn, AJ and I decided to go Black Friday shopping and Brett stayed home with the kids. We were going to get up around 4 and start our shopping, but we heard WalMart started their sale at midnight and we really wanted a Wii, so we decided to head over there. Well, we were told wrong, the sale didn't start until 5 am and the Wii we wanted was only online, so we just ordered it on their computers there in the store. Rae got some good shopping done for her boys though so it was somewhat worth it:) Then, we took AJ home and we decided since we were up anyway we should go to the huge Old Navy sale that started at 3 am! It was a long night. We waited in line to get in the store for 45 minutes, then another 45 minutes or so to buy our stuff. And the sad part, I didn't find ANYTHING:( So, we got home at 5:30 in the morning and I didn't buy one single thing and in the morning we were exhausted. But, it was fun and now I can say I tried out Black Friday shopping.

My camera was being weird, but you can kind of see the huge line outside of Old Navy...
Waiting in line to get in at 4 am

More Visitors!!

My sister and BIL came to visit last weekend and it was so fun to see them! Meg is having her baby in about a month so it was fun to have her come out here one last time before the baby comes:) We got to do some fun things. On Friday we got a babysitter for Crue and we went and saw New Moon. It was fun and we liked it a lot. Then we picked Crue up and went to Red Robin. Colby's parents happened to be here the same weekend visiting their nephew and they were so nice and took us to Salty's. It was a way yummy restaurant right on the water and I got to try my first crab legs, they were so good:) We also went to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma. AJ wasn't feeling well so he didn't come with us, but it was pretty neat. We had so much fun seeing them and miss them already!! Thanks for coming to visit us:)

Halloween and Parentals In Town

My parents were here this weekend and it was so fun seeing them! It was fun that they got to be here during Halloween with us. This year Crue was a little pumpkin. Next year I think I will dress him up more manly, because when we were at dinner that night I had someone think he was a girl. haha.

Crue was a good sport this weekend. We had my dad here which meant lots of road trips. My dad likes to go go go. On Sunday, we drove the 2 hour drive each way to Portland just to be there for a couple hours:)
We drove around Tacoma one day and driving through the parks there are so many racoons! They all come right up to your car and act like they want you to feed them. They are mean to each other and liked to fight a lot.

We went to our favorite restaurant in Des Moines called Wally's. We went there with my family when we moved here and go there every time they come and visit.
Thank you for all your comments on rice cereal! I'm still not sure what I'm going to do yet, but while my parents were here I thought it would be fun to try it for the first time. Crue did pretty good, but sure made a mess:)
I got to tend a little girl in our ward today while her mom was at work. It was fun, but sometimes a little difficult when they both needed my attention. Becca is just a couple months younger than Crue. Crue was so funny. He was always just staring at her wondering what was going on.

It was sad to see my parent's leave today, but we get to see AJ's dad and Laura this weekend for a day. They are flying home from Hawaii and have a layover here:) Also, my sister and BIL come in just 2 weeks!!! Woo hoo, we love visitors!

Four Months

I know I say this every month, but I can't believe Crue is already 4 months!! Just in the last month he has gotten so much more of a little personality and is so much fun.
Weight: 14.5 pounds (just below 50th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (just above 50th percentile)
Head: 17 (75th percentile)

He always wants to hold his bottle on his own now

* He is still swaddled(haha now double swaddled so it stays)
* Sleeps from 7:30-7
* Still doesn't have a great nap schedule
* Drinks 5 oz every 2-3 hours
* Rolled over a few times, but not consistently
* Drooling like crazy!

I still HATE Crue's doctor, hopefully by his 6 month appt. I will change to a different one. He is crazy! Doesn't think babies should use pacifiers. If they cry they are hungry.Thinks its crazy that Crue sleeps in his own room now in a crib and all through the night at only 4 months? I asked him if Crue could be teething soon and his reply was, " No, he is just a baby and they all put things in their mouths and drool. Babies don't usually teethe until after they turn one." Crazy!! Also, I asked him about starting Crue with rice cereal soon and he said absolutely not until he turns 6 months! I don't think I agree with him because sometimes I feel like Crue isn't satisfied with just milk right now. Does any one have suggestions about when to start rice cereal? I know there are a ton of different opinions...

Trip to Spokane

AJ had to go to a training in Spokane for one day this week and he was just going to fly, but Crue and I decided to tag along and take our first road trip together as a family since Crue was born. We left Wednesday afternoon and came back early Friday morning. The drive took about 4 hours. Wednesday night we got pizza and just hung out, and Thursday night we drove over to see the temple and went to dinner. It was a fun little trip to get away!

Our hotel room
Crue was so happy when we got there and he got to finally get out of his carseat:)

He loved looking at himself in the mirror

We just hung out in the hotel while AJ went to his meetings
Spokane Temple
AJ LOVED Spokane. It has more of the country feel AJ likes, unlike the area we are in near Seattle. He wants to move there now....but not over Idaho or Utah:)
